Summary
Robert West is an intuitive, supportive, and inspirational training, coaching, and organizational management specialist who helps transform the work-life experience one joy-filled career direction conversation at a time. He has more than thirty-five years of senior management and leadership experience working in credit unions, churches, and nonprofit organizations.
Training
As a gifted learning and development facilitator, Robert is expert at synthesizing and synchronizing neuroscience concepts with business and biblical principles in ways that provide great insights for learners. He communicates technical details in a relational context so that trainees can instinctively transfer knowledge into personal, professional, and spiritual growth.
Coaching
As an independent career services business partner, Robert is passionate about helping busy leaders, stressed achievers and midlife career changers find clarity, rest, and joy on their work-life journey. He uses the innovative Career Direct® assessment tool and Living By Design™ consultation process to help clients discover how they are wired for work so that they can recognize “misfit” career mistakes to avoid and “best fit” opportunities to pursue.
Organizational Management
As a certified human resource professional, Robert is creative at adapting performance improvement solutions to organizational cultures without changing the cultures. He asks precision questions to help leaders identify workflow gaps to close and organizational barriers to remove so that critical job tasks are strategically aligned with intended business outcomes, and he shares his award-winning goal clarity/role clarity/prosperity coaching guides with employees to help them find purpose and joy in their work.
Personal Interests
Robert is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Pasadena Chapter of Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA) where he serves as Co-Chair of the HR Professionals in Transition Committee.
He also serves as a volunteer community business partner on the South Pasadena High School Career Technical Education (CTE) Advisory Board, and as a Hoving Home California Council Member and Leadership Academy guest presenter.
In his spare time, Robert enjoys spending quiet time on the beach, recurve archery, and attending live theater and sporting events with his wife and two children.
