Introduction
Hi! My name is Robert West.
I am Career Services Business Partner and “The Quiet Time Planner Guy” at R West Consulting.
As “The Quiet Time Planner Guy”, I help busy, goal-oriented people schedule quiet time to meet with God so they can experience the joy and rest of His presence in their daily lives.
I achieve this objective with the help of a calendar system I designed called (you guessed it), “The Quiet Time Planner™”.
The Quiet Time Planner™ is not your typical datebook/organizer. It is an award-winning “right brain” calendar system that is custom-designed to help busy, goal-oriented people schedule quiet time to meet with God so they can experience the joy and rest of His presence in their daily lives.
The system was inspired by the response I received from a whispered prayer I offered to God for healing from a serious case of chronic fatigue immune dysfunction syndrome (CFIDS) with which I was suffering.
During my recovery, the Lord began showing me an effective and sensible way to manage my life. It centered on spending consistent uninterrupted, daily quiet time with Him.
Along the way, I was introduced to other general principles and concepts of effective time management that were helpful to me. Ideas that taught me how to effectively:
1. Plan, organize, prioritize, and utilize my time to achieve maximum productivity.
2. Set clear, achievable goals that align with my life values.
3. Break goals and assignments down into smaller tasks.
4. Manage tasks and deadlines efficiently.
5. Eliminate distractions and time-wasting activities.
6. Minimize interruptions and procrastination.
7. Get more done in less time.
8. Reduce stress.
9. Increase focus and confidence.
10. Improve self-discipline.
All of these ideas and more are incorporated into the planner’s design and features — which is another reason why it is unique among calendar systems.
In future posts, I will share more on these time management topics. I am especially looking forward to the next one. In it, I will propose a “new” paradigm for looking at an “old” matrix model that I believe will transform the way you view time management and use your calendar.
See you next time!
